Every individual has a purpose in life. It may be either to progress professionally and take care of his family, or work towards a cherished objective to realize happiness and joy for him and equally for others. Citizens for Hope is the cherished dream and vision of Vineeth Reddy, social entrepreneur, and forward thinking leader who is miles ahead of the children of his age. A Non-Resident Indian settled in United States, Vineeth Reddy visited his home town in India when COVID-19 was at its helm. The untold misery, plight and extremely pitiable condition of the poor during the pandemic moved him into a deep introspection. He was overwhelmed and shocked to see how the poor lost their livelihoods, and went hungry for days together. Added, the pandemic unleashed its wrath on the needy and unprivileged people that had no access to proper medical care or medicine.

Vineeth Reddy made a study to understand the health systems and mechanisms in government and non-governmental agencies. He found that the local NGOs were struggling to arrange medical supplies and health care facilities for the poor and unprivileged. Added, he found that even if health care facilities and hospitals were ready to arrange medical supplies and health care facilities, there was no established strategy or infrastructure to collaborate with the NGOs. The prevailing conditions of the poor and unprivileged homes of his native place had to be addressed with humane touch, yet on a war-footing basis.

Vineeth Reddy returned to United States and prepared an effective strategy to address the immediate medical needs of the poor and unprivileged homes in India. It took him nearly two years to put everything in place. In his XII class he started connecting with NGOs and hospitals in India that are into health care services for the needy. He initiated the process to connect NGOs with hospitals in India which are ready to ensure medical supplies and health care facilities as part of their social responsibility. This momentum of change ushered by Vineeth Reddy has capably addressed the immediate medical and health care needs of the poor and unprivileged of his native place, and across India.
